Redwood Retreat - A Spa Like Sanctuary
This primary bathroom was designed to feel like a personal sanctuary — a place to exhale at the end of the day and begin each morning in calm. Surrounded by redwoods and filled with natural light, the space leans into organic textures and warm, earthy tones.
The handmade tile steals the show: terracotta picket tile underfoot, soft geometric tile wrapping the soaking tub, and a full-height tile wall behind the dual vanity that reads like subtle artwork. A steam shower tucked in the back adds spa-like function, while soft wood cabinetry, woven window coverings, and a quiet little niche for collected treasures keep the room grounded and personal. The result is layered, serene, and deeply restorative — just as a retreat should be.

This new-build project was a true labor of love — designed in collaboration with interior designer Natasha Stocker from Inspired Spaces. Natasha guided the layout, spacing, plumbing and lighting plans, while I led the vision for the overall look and feel. From the finishes and fixtures to the color palette, furnishings, and styling — every visual detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect a cozy, collected, and personal home.
